Testimonials
I studied Spanish at Cima Del Mundo in Antigua during June and July (5 weeks) in 2007. There, I had my own instructor with many activities which enabled me to interact in Spanish. The staff were pleasant, understanding, and encouraged me to learn and practice. The staff also help to ensure that your stay in Antigua and study at the school is an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this school for learning Spanish and developing proficiency within a short amount of time.

How it works
Our audio-lingual lesson using Skype or your favorite VoIp software usually begins with a dialogue which contains the grammar and vocabulary to be focused on in the lesson. The students mimic the dialogue and eventually memorize it. After the dialogue comes pattern drills, in which the grammatical structure introduced in the dialogue is reinforced, with these drills focusing on simple repetition, substitution, transformation, and translation.
The teacher uses examples of language and daily life in order to teach grammar. Teachers interact with the students a lot, asking them questions about relevant topics and trying to use the grammatical structure of the day in the conversation. Accuracy is sought and errors are corrected. In few words, we use the same technique as in our one-on-one lessons in Antigua Guatemala without the effort of leaving your house or office and with no more expenses than the lesson themselves.
Your lessons are organized to develop the four communicative skills: Listening and speaking Teacher and student interact by listening and speaking using the headset. This way of communication is an essential skill to understand any conversation in the daily life. Reading and writing Every VoIp software includes a text chat as complement of communication.
Using this text based chat you will read and write words, sentences and everything you need if you cannot with your voice. In order to start your lessons you have to:

What you need
Your spanish lessons at the comfort of your home, office or everywhere are ready if you have this:
A modern computer it is recommended to ensure comfort during your class. In general we recommend a computer with Pentium III processor or higher and 256MB RAM as minimum.
A headset is a headphone combined with a microphone. Headsets provide the equivalent functionality of a telephone handset with hands-free operation. They are used in call centers and by people in telephone-intensive jobs. Many people use headsets at the computer so they can converse and type comfortably. Headsets typically have only one speaker like a telephone, but also come with speakers for both ears. Computer headsets generally come in two connecting types, standard 3.5 mm & USB connection. General 3.5 mm computer headset comes with two 3.5 mm connectors, one connecting to microphone jack (line-in) and one connecting to speaker jack (line-out) of the computer. 3.5 mm Computer Headset connects to the computer via a soundcard - which converts the digital signal of the computer to analog signal for the headset. Depending on the quality of the soundcard, the sound quality of 3.5 mm connection generally is not as good as a USB connection.
