Some of history
As an independent instructor since 2001, director and founder of the school gained much experience working in different institutions, also could see the deficiencies and "rules" that govern traditional schools. After meeting with several teachers to highly skilled and willing to create an academy where the most important is the quality and service, Erick Cacao decided to join forces with former students and enthusiastic teachers for this project: Cima del Mundo. The name means "top of the world" and it represents the desire to reach the highest quality in teaching Spanish as a second language.
On 1 August 2005 the school was officially established at various government institutions. Since then the school has served a growing number of students. CDM In 2007 the school joined forces with the Netherlands Organization Niños de Guatemala to offer to the volunteers the opportunity to interact in Spanish with the children in the school they serve: "Nuestro Futuro" in Ciudad Vieja.
Organization
The school's organizational structure is relatively simple: Administrative Area The school is managed by its managing director, who is the direct link with students and clients. The director is also solely responsible for coordinating other course-related activities: reservations, payments, accommodation in families, work, etc..

Our method
- The school uses some aspects of the communicative approach and natural method:
- Contextualized models Spoken language, after a quick introduction of the written
- Immersion in the L2 Independent learning
- Period of silence
- Existence of affective filters: motivation, personal relationship with the L2 and conscious learning
