The Niños de Guatemala Volunteer Center (Centro de Voluntariado) is located in Antigua, Guatemala where it shares a beautiful colonial building with Spanish language school Cima del Mundo.

 
The center has a clear twofold purpose:   
   

• Raising funds, making publicity, awareness and enthusiasm for the charitable efforts and projects of NDG.  
• Promoting the value and fun in charitable projects in general.  

   

To make sure that the NDG program receives plenty of attention, promotion and financial support, the Center plays the role of an amplifier of the sound by:   

Facilitating Volunteer Work   

The Center helps accommodating volunteers and directs them to Nuestro Futuro School (and different charitable projects), through the Center, volunteers have also the possibility of homestay and other services.   

Promotion   

The Center promotes Nuestro Futuro and raises awareness for it in different ways, some of them are:

Organizing tours to the project, events, etc.

Printing promotion material like flyers and posters, which are distributed through Antigua

Publishing a monthly newsletter in English

Updating the English and Spanish version of the website

Promoting merchandise with NDG logo like t-shirts, polo shirts, key rings and coffee mugs.

Organizing an informal get-together every week.

Giving presentations of the program in Spanish schools.   

Fundraising   

The NGO contributes 17.5% to the annual budget of Nuestro Futuro, and also needs funds to support itself, that is why the Center has to organize different activities such as:

Raising Padrinos: the Padrino Program is a very important part for Nuestro Futuro's sustainability; we need padrinos for every child that currently attends NF to be able to welcome a new group in the following years.

Giving Small Scale Fundraising Workshops: all volunteers are encouraged to contact friends and family at home and animate them to help NDG through donations; they can also to organize fundraising activities when they go back to their countries.

Promoting Merchandise: people interested can also help by getting articles with the NDG logo that the center offers such as: T-shirts, Polo shirts, coffee mugs and key rings.
